New Design Hotel: Un Paseo Por La Antigua










De los creadores de La Lancha Ecolodge en Petén, que fuese adquirido por el cineasta Francis Ford Coppola, surge el primer hotel de “charme” en Antigua.

Descubrimos este refugio encantador, tanto por su diseño de interiores, como por el concepto de vanguardia.

Son cinco las habitaciones, y cada una recrea una realidad distinta. El hotel está diseñado especialmente para cumplir los estándares que en Francia y alrededor del mundo definen los hoteles “de Charme”.

Didier Torchut, arquitecto y diseñador, es creador del concepto visual de cada rincón del lugar.

”Un de Charme conlleva énfasis en el diseño, donde la decoración lo hace único y privado. Es una experiencia que combina lo versátil con excelente atención y sutileza”, explica Isabel Torchut, co-directora del hotel. Ambos desde Francia, le invitan a visitar, conocer, y quedarse.

Todas las habitaciones incluyen desayuno al gusto, sin horario establecido. Dado el boom de los pequeños hoteles de lujo en Guatemala, este representa un atractivo turístico de alto nivel para el país.

The first ever Lonely Planet Awards have been announced in 2010 issue of Lonely Planet Magazine. Thousands of you voted to tell us your top travel moments, from Greatest Wildlife Encounter to Greatest Journey.

This is one of the findings of Lonely Planet’s first ever The Lonely Planet Awards unearthed the experiences which make a trip truly unique, from food and culture, to journeys and activities. Each question in the survey came with a shortlist drawn up by a panel of Lonely Planet experts.
The Lonely Planet Awards also found:
· Visiting the Mayan temples at Tikal in Guatemala is considered the greatest historical experience, beating better known attractions such as the Taj Mahal and Egypt’s Pyramids.

Tom Hall said, “The results of the Lonely Planet Awards include some surprising winners, such as the Mayan temples at Tikal. The success of these lesser known attractions really highlights how worthwhile it is to venture away from some of the world’s best known places and sights and discover what else the world has to offer.”
